About

Quick facts: At almost 100 meters, it is the tallest church in Denmark and its tower is visible from most parts of the city. Inside you will find the longest surviving wall paintings in all of Scandinavia, covering an incredible 1,500 square meters.

Highlights: Notice the huge frescoes on the ceiling: they date from the 15th century and were painted by the famous so-called "Aarhus Master". They have retained incredibly vivid colors to this day, especially the deep blue and red that literally surround you when you enter.
